Vitaphone joins withdrawal list
Vitaphone Racing has become the latest team to announce it is withdrawing its entry for the 2009 running of the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The team, which has won multiple FIA GT Championship titles in recent years, had elected to enter a Porsche RS Spyder in the LMP2 class, with its own Maserati MC12 not being eligible for the GT1 class of the round the clock classic.
With the Vitaphone squad pulling out, the IMSA Performance MATMUT team will now have a second car in the GT2 class, with its #70 Porsche 911 being the next car on the reserve list.

Also on the reserve list, Racing Box has decided to withdraw its second Lola-Judd Coupe from the entry list; the car having been the final car still on the list hoping to secure a place in the race.
Five cars remain on the reserve list, although they will only be able to secure a place in the race if further withdrawals occur before the deadline of 22 May.
