Lead Peugeot hits issues in the Le Mans 24 Hours
The #1 Peugeot has lost the lead of the Le Mans 24 Hours after being forced to make an unscheduled stop for an alternator change.
Marc Gene returned to the pits just three laps after making a stop with the car being wheeled back into the garage immediately.
The team worked hard to replace the alternator before Gene rejoined but only after losing four laps and dropping down to seventh place.
Franck Montagny now leads in the #2 car with the Oreca 908 in second place.
Meanwhile, the GT2 fight has also taken a twist, with the Risi Ferrari in the garage with a gearbox issue. The car had been fighting for the class lead with the leading Corvette.
