Corvette withdraws #63 car after crash
The #63 Corvette of Jan Magnussen, Antonio Garcia and Ryan Briscoe has been withdrawn from the 2015 Le Mans 24 Hours following its shunt during qualifying.
The experienced Magnussen was at the wheel of the Corvette C7.R when an apparent mechanical issue caused it to run on into the barriers at the Porsche Curves during second qualifying.
Causing the session to be stopped 45mins early, though the Dane took time to be extricated from the car, he has been given the all-clear from the ACO medical team and would have been likely fit enough to race.
However, significant damage to the right-hand side of the car and an investigation into what caused the smash has forced the American manufacturer to take it out of the running.

Despite the set-back, Corvette will still be represented in the race by the #64 Corvette driven by Oliver Gavin, Tommy Milner and Jordan Taylor.
