MJ Church Kawasaki's Tallon Vohland will be back in action at this weekends British Motocross Championship in Northern Ireland, having been sidelined by a serious back injury for two months.

Vohland, nicknamed, the 'Lone Wolf', arrived in the UK on Monday to begin testing the 2003 Kawasaki with team mate Darryl Atkins and the rest of the HM Plant-backed team, and will debut the bike at round four of the championship on Saturday. "I am really looking forward to the race, especially as I hear that the track at Desert Martin is awesome, and it will just be good to get back out there banging bars," Vohland admitted, "I feel good on the bike, and my back is not giving me any problems. My only problem maybe my race fitness, but that will come back with time.

"We have been testing a lot this week with the 2003 bikes, which are really good. I have the bike going well, and hope that I can get a good result and close down the points gap."

In the 250 class, Atkins is also hoping to improve on his points standing, as the Kiwi currently sits in 18th position, albeit only 16 points off a top twelve placing.

"My results have been improving with each race, and this week we have done a lot of work, which I hope will pay off," he said.

MJ Church Kawasaki's newest addition, Espen Blikstad, will be competing in the Swedish Championship this weekend, but will continue with the Marshfield-based team in Genk, Belgium, for the round nine of the world championship on 4 August.
