MX des Nations entry list announced.

With 26 teams entered, from Brazil to the Ukraine, the 2002 Motocross of Nations to be held at Competition Park, San Jacinto, California on September 29th, promises to be one of the most spectacular tournaments contested in its 55 year history.

Of the 78 riders on the official entry list, two are World Champions and another eight have lifted a title at some stage in the last few years. US team representative Ricky Carmichael, who set a record last week when he clinched the 250cc AMA Outdoor crown by winning every single moto in the series, is the top rider in the US, dominating the Motocross and Supercross scenes over the last two seasons.

French ace Sebastien Tortelli, a former World Champion and teammate of Carmichael, will also make his international race debut with on a Suzuki, alongside Pichon and Demaria.

With this spread of talent, in particular the three top men of World Motocross at this moment - in the form of Carmichael, Mickael Pichon and the most successful rider in the history of GP racing, Stefan Everts, the 2002 Motocross of Nations will deliver the most eagerly awaited Motocross race in recent years.
