KTM festival cancelled due to complaints.

The annual KTM festival in Mattighofen in the company's homeland of Austria has been cancelled due to complaints from locals of the proposed venue.

The festival which often attracts in excess of 1,500 international KTM fans, who experience a frolly of Motorcross, Enduro and Supermoto races, is hoped to return in 2006 at a venue in Hungary.

KTM and the local Austrian authorities are thought to be disappointed by the cancellation as the region experiences an increase in tourism and trade due to the festival.
