Race Direction has imposed a 15-place grid penalty on Moto2 rookie Johann Zarco, following a collision with Pol Espargaro in Saturday morning practice at Mugello.
Zarco tagged the back of Espargaro at turn one, sending them both into the gravel. Zarco walked away but Espargaro was taken to the medical centre.
The Pons Kalex rider, second in the championship to Marc Marquez, later emerged sore but standing and should be on track during this afternoon's qualifying session.
Espargaro had been fastest in both of Friday's sessions.
