Lorenzo Baldassarri has become a common sight at the sharp end of Moto2 and switching to the Pons HP40 squad for 2018 he is being touted as a strong title contender.

With a sure fitting in the intermediate class, Baldassarri returns this season fully fit and tipped as a leading Kalex rider to go against the emerging package of Red Bull KTM.

Consistency and staying injury-free will be Baldassarri’s main focus having demonstrated his talents in short spells in recent years but with an experienced team around him the Italian is likely to have the tools for a title tilt in 2018.
