Who was 'fastest' at the Sepang MotoGP test?
Fabio Quartararo set the quickest lap time on each of the three days at the 2020 Sepang MotoGP Test.
As such, if the Malaysian Grand Prix was held tomorrow the young Petronas Yamaha star would surely be favourite for pole position.
But in terms of who looked best for a race, two other names were top of most riders' list: Maverick Vinales (Monster Yamaha) and Alex Rins (Suzuki).
The pair looked particularly strong over longer runs and set a consistently high pace throughout the test.

Here are what some of the riders had to say about who looked strongest, while a chart below shows the lap times by riders that completed longer runs on the final day.
Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda): "If you check the pace everyone is running in the '59s today. But Rins did a really good job. Viñales, too, on the race pace. Rins and Viñales are the two fastest ones."
Andrea Dovizioso (Ducati): "I think what we can see from the test is Maverick really strong in the simulation, Rins really comfortable. And we are not that far."
Franco Morbidelli (Petronas Yamaha): Suzuki and Yamaha look like the bikes to beat here? "Especially the Suzuki… I didn't try a long run, neither did Vale. Fabio did but he had a drop [in tyre grip]."
Aleix Espargaro (Aprilia): "I lose two or three tenths every time in the fourth split against the Ducatis – even like this I did the strongest 12-14 lap race simulation. Better than the Ducatis, better than what Quartararo did."
Fabio Quartararo (Petronas Yamaha): "I was first overall, but we need to work on the pace, because we are struggling more in this area."
Danilo Petrucci (Ducati): "I think Maverick and Marc did another type of work and I think they are two of the fastest riders. Also Espargaro - both Espargaros unfortunately! - are very fast. Rins, Quartararo... There are a lot of riders able to ride more than ten laps in the '59 and we are struggling to keep this pace."
Maverick Vinales (Monster Yamaha): "On a race tyre, race setup, we did a good pace, which I felt quite competitive. When I did the [long] run, the grip was very low. I saw most of the riders in 2m 0s, and they could not go lower than that…"
Alex Rins (Suzuki): "We've been very fast in the morning but also very consistent, while comparing the different chassis. All the laps in the 1m 59. I'm quite happy because we improved both my best lap time and the race pace."
*Mir had a small fall on lap 10 of his long run, pitted then returned to complete it.
** Rins did a run of 7 laps, stopped, and then another 7 laps, while comparing different chassis.
*** Aleix Espargaro had a technical problem on lap 13.
