Joan Mir has moved his Honda into fourth. Just under 20 minutes to go, so this top 10 Q2 order is going to change pretty rapidly.
- M.Marquez
- Miller
- A.Marquez
- Aldeguer
- Mir
- Zarco
- Bagnaia
- Di Giannantonio
- Morbidelli
- Quartararo
Bagnaia is currently 1.6s off Marquez. That's going to sting, even if these conditions are iffy.
Worst of all, he's also got another Gresini Ducati ahead of him at this stage in Aldeguer.
Marc Marquez strengthens his place at the top of the timesheets with a 2m05.145s, while Aldeguer not far behind goes back up to second.
But the gap Marquez has over the field is almost a second.
Current Q2 group is:
- M.Marquez
- A.Marquez
- Aldeguer
- Bagnaia
- Mir
- Zarco
- Binder
- Quartararo
- Di Giannantonio
- Miller
What's most impressive from Aldeguer is he's on the medium rear slick while the rest are on softs. And he is still second.
Marc Marquez is now 1.3s clear with a 2m06.042s.
Alex Marquez goes into the 2m07s for the first time with a 2m07.999s.
Marc Marquez goes top with a 2m08.327s on his first slick lap. Aldeguer still second from Bagnaia.
As the track continues to improve, the times will keep chopping and changing. Getting a Q2 place will very much be a case of timing your last lap to perfection if there isn't any more rain.
Bagnaia moves up third, while Morbidelli is back up to fifth.
Aldeguer goes second on the Gresini Ducati. This is some great riding from the rookie in these conditions.
Marc Marquez is one of the last to head out on slicks. Will be interesting to see just how quickly he gets up to speed. That could be quite telling for how the rest of the weekend might pan out.
Miller finds yet more time with a 2m09.656s.
Marini is not having much luck on these slicks yet, though. He's down in 14th still and not yet able to better his wet tyre time.
Despite that mistake, Miller still improves to a 2m11.583s. Others are heading out on slicks now.
Miller runs wide at the end of the back straight. He was almost a second up after two sectors.
That will begin the mass changeover to slicks in pitlane, I think.
Miller's first lap on slicks is a good one. He jumps up to top spot with a 2m12.613s! Almost the best lap of the day.
Marini's first lap on the slicks was a 2m27.505s - about 14s off the best pace on wet tyres.
Marini very gingerly takes Turn 1 on his first flying lap on the slicks. Track is definitely looking drier through the first part of the circuit.
Miller is also now out on slicks.
Luca Marini is the first rider out on slicks.
Joan Mir guides the factory Honda to the top of the timesheets with a 2m13.073s.
Still some way off the FP1 best, which suggests we are getting closer to the crossover point where the wets are not really offering the best performance and slicks could be the way forward.
Just over 40 minutes to go.
FP1 pacesetter Morbidelli goes top now with a 2m13.292s.
