KTM in grand prix racing: 2003-2009.
Having withdrawn from the 250cc class at the end of last season, KTM suffered a disappointing end to its 125cc grand prix project when Marc Marquez was bumped off track while battling for a podium on the last lap of the Valencia finale.
"I planned to make a final dash for a podium finish. But then, Olive and I touched, and I crashed. I am very disappointed, because I so desperately wanted to give the team a good result on their final race," said the 16-year old, who crossed the finish line in 17th place.

"This was a sad end," added team director Harald Bartol. "It's a pity that Marc crashed out of a promising position in his home race after touching another rider, but these things happen in racing. He's got great talent though, and I'm sure that he will make his way to the top in motorcycle racing."
KTM won the 125cc Manufacturers' title in 2005, but never won a Riders' title - finishing runner-up with Mika Kallio in the 125cc class in both 2005 and 2006. KTM's highest placed 250cc rider was also Kallio, who finished third overall in 2008.
KTM also made a short-lived entry in the MotoGP class, as an engine supplier to Team Roberts for part of the 2005 season.
After its final grand prix, KTM released the following statistics and highlights from its time in grand prix racing:
