The official MotoGP winter testing programme has been confirmed.

The new MotoGP season will officially commence with the post-race test in Valencia, which will take place over three days from Monday, November 10 to Wednesday, November 13.

However, in a change to the new winter testing schedule, there will be no Moto2 and Moto3 tests post-race at Valencia.

Some teams involved in the intermediate and lightweight classes intend to carry out private tests at Jerez (November 14-15) and Almeria (November 26-28).

The testing ban commences from December and remains in place until January ahead of the opening Sepang MotoGP test in Malaysia in February.

In a change from previous years, the final MotoGP test will now be held in Qatar - rather than Jerez - two weeks before the now traditional season-opening night race under the floodlights at the same Losail International Circuit.
