Agostini and Ubbiali honoured at Mugello.

The most successful rider in the history of Grand Prix racing, Italian Giacomo Agostini, was presented with his MotoGP Legend silver medal at a special presentation in Mugello, while at the same ceremony countryman Carlo Ubbiali was inducted into the MotoGP Hall of Fame.

58 year old Agostini won an amazing 122 Grand Prix in a fantastic career that saw him win 15 World Championships, eight 500cc and seven 350's. He won sixty-eight 500cc and fifty-four 350cc Grand Prix riding MV Agusta and Yamaha machinery.

'Ago' won his first world title in 1966 and his last 11 years later.

Seventy one year old Ubbiali won nine world titles in total, three in the 250cc class and six in the 125cc Championship. He claimed 39 Grand Prix, twenty-six 125 and thirteen 250's between 1951 and 1960, and was successful on both MV Agusta and Mondial machinery.

The two famous Italians were presented with their medals in the ceremony on Saturday morning, which was also attended by other MotoGP Hall of Fame members; Mick Doohan, Kevin Schwantz and Kenny Roberts.
