McCoy to miss race.

Garry McCoy returned to action in Catalunya a month after breaking a wrist at the French GP, but despite qualifying 14th, he's withdrawn from tomorrow's race.

"We have decided not to race tomorrow," McCoy reluctantly confirmed. "I know I could go reasonably fast, but I'm far from being 100% fit and the hot weather here makes riding the bike even harder.

"I want to come back as strong as when I left and this weekend that just isn't possible. It is only been a month and I think a sacphoid deserves a little more that that. Hopefully though I should be ready for Assen."

"If you weigh up what we might gain by putting Garry out on the track against what we might lose it is the logical decision," said McCoy's race Engineer Hamish Jamieson.

"If he'd had a clear last run this afternoon I am sure he would have been quicker - but even if he had qualified higher we wouldn't have raced," Jamieson added.
