West Honda Pons will be able to gain invaluable hands-on experience of the five-cylinder, 990cc four-stroke machine that has won all eight MotoGP
races this season. The technical data gathered by the team over the final four races of the season will be a solid step towards starting the 2003 season, which opens at South Africa in April, in a very competitive mode.
Following their announcement to equip factory rider Daijiro Kato, and the Fortuna Honda Gresini team with RC211V's from Brno, HRC have taken this
step as an additional element of their 2003 season plan. HRC are busy establishing, and testing a support system for the non-factory teams running the RC211V in the 2003 MotoGP World Championship. The information gained from Team Fortuna Honda Gresini and HRC factory rider Kato, will set the system in operation and West Honda Pons will compliment that.
