Rossi is the only rider confirmed at Yamaha for 2007 and the five-times world champion made his 800cc debut at the same circuit where he took Yamaha's current 990ccc M1 to second place, behind Ducati's Loris Capirossi, in Sunday's Czech Republic Grand Prix.

Having set the Monday testing pace on his 990cc racer, Rossi completed a brief shakedown test of the black liveried 'M8' (?) late in the afternoon and is expected to conduct further tests on Tuesday's second and final day of track action.
Monday's unveiling means that Yamaha is now only the second manufacturer, after Ducati, to display an early version of its 800cc machine - rival machines from Honda, Kawasaki and Suzuki are yet to be seen.
