In a unique all-American collaboration, Team Roberts has joined forces with F1 MAX-X and MGM's Treasure Island Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas to increase the popularity of MotoGP in North America.

As part of the new deal, rider and former world champion Kenny Roberts Jr. will take to the track in a dramatic new livery at Jerez this weekend.

"We're excited about this development," said team owner Kenny Roberts, father of Kenny Jr. "We are fortunate that we are in this position to introduce these companies to MotoGP. F1 MAX-X represents a unique marketing strategy that has brought all the partners together for this program. We look forward to working with everybody to create additional opportunities that will benefit our new partners, Team Roberts and MotoGP now and in the future."

F1 MAX-X and MGM's Treasure Island Hotel and Casino, along with a number of North American based global corporations, are taking a close interest in the development of MotoGP within the United States.

"MotoGP is an exciting, trendy sport which parallels the values that Las Vegas represents; adrenalin, drama, glamour and excitement," explained Alex Copson, President of F1 MAX-X. "The two should be united as tens of millions of people visit Las Vegas annually. Teaming with Kenny Roberts will help make MotoGP one of the hottest sports in the US and fits in perfectly with our overall strategy for Las Vegas and motorsport in general. This is a developing relationship, aimed at campaigning a larger program for 2008 onwards!''

MotoGP's presence in the United States has been increasing steadily in recent seasons, helped by the return of the US Grand Prix and Nicky Hayden's 2006 world championship victory. A second US GP is rumoured for 2008, at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
