After the remainder of the 2019 and start of the 2020 MotoGP test dates were announced, the new Finland two-day test has been confirmed for the 19-20 August this year at the new Kymiring circuit.

With the new Finnish round joining the MotoGP calendar in 2020, the Kymiring will host its maiden grand prix motorcycle event this August to provide all teams with the first chance to get to grips with the track.

The two-day test has been penned in for the 19-20 August, during the MotoGP summer break and less than one week before the British MotoGP round at Silverstone (23-25 August).

According to a MotoGP release the new Kymiring has confirmed the track will be in a condition to complete Grand Prix testing.

The test will give MotoGP manufacturers’ and other technical teams test teams a chance to gain key data ahead of the Kymiring’s inclusion on the 2020 MotoGP calendar. Every manufacturer will be present and represented by at least one rider – expected to be a test team from each manufacturer given the tight turnaround to prepare for the British round three days after the Finland test.

MotoGP continues testing action after the British round with an official in-season test at Misano on August 29-30.
