Morbidelli: We come to Barcelona with mixed feelings
Franco Morbidelli is eager to erase the DNF disappointment of his home Mugello race, during this weekend's Catalunya MotoGP.
The Petronas Yamaha rider qualified a strong fourth in Italy but, as the only rider to choose the hard rear tyre, dropped to tenth on lap one and fell from that position on lap 6.
Like Mugello, Barcelona is a circuit where the former Moto2 champion has not taken a podium finish. But it's a track he likes and has good memories of a 14th for Marc VDS Honda in his rookie MotoGP season.

"The Barcelona-Catalunya Circuit is a track that I like. Last year I felt good there in my rookie season in MotoGP and I managed to be fast, finishing inside the points. It was a good weekend for me," Morbidelli said.
"Now we come to Barcelona with mixed feelings: We are positive about the work we did throughout the weekend in Italy, but sad about the final results. I am really keen to have a good race and keep taking important points for the overall standings."
Morbidelli - who has suffered two DNFs this season - is now eleventh in the world championship, just three points ahead of rookie team-mate Fabio Quartararo.
