MotoGP prepares for KymiRing test
MotoGP is set to complete a two-day test at the newly constructed KymiRing as preparations for the new Finland round ramp up.
All six MotoGP manufacturers’ test teams will be in action at KymiRing on the 19th and 20th August to get to grips with the new circuit which is set to host the Finland round from 2020.

All six MotoGP manufacturers’ test teams will be in action at KymiRing on the 19th and 20th August to get to grips with the new circuit which is set to host the Finland round from 2020.
Ducati’s Michele Pirro, Honda’s Stefan Bradl, Yamaha’s Jonas Folger, Suzuki’s Sylvain Guintoli, Aprilia’s Bradley Smith and KTM’s Mika Kallio will all be in action during the test with the track open between 10:00 and 17:00 local time on each day.
Local riders will then take to the track between 17:00 and 18:00 at the end of each day.
On Sunday all six test riders and their respective teams walked the track to study the all-new circuit and layout while also taking part in a photo opportunity for the historic test.
Key figures in MotoGP and Finnish motorsport will also be present at the test including FIM President Jorge Viegas, KymiRing Circuit Director Timo Pohjola, President of the Finnish Motorcycle Federation Tapio Nevala Ajo motorsport team manager Aki Ajo and Dorna’s Carlos Ezpeleta.
With the addition of the Finnish MotoGP the 2020 race calendar is set to expand to 20 rounds.
