MotoGP releases 2020 provisional calendar
MotoGP has confirmed the provisional race calendar for the 2020 season with the addition of the new Finnish round at KymiRing.
Following last week’s test at the new Finnish venue, the round has been provisionally included on the race calendar and will host the final round before the summer break (12 July) subject to FIM circuit homologation.
Another key change sees the Thailand round moved forward to become the second event on the calendar (22 March) after the traditional season-opener night race in Qatar (8 March).

The Thai MotoGP round effectively takes the calendar slot held by the Chang International Circuit on the World Superbike calendar.
Brno remains on the 2020 MotoGP calendar but subject to a new contract agreement after its current deal expired at the end of this year.
Two other minor tweaks have been made to the 2020 provisional programme with the German and Dutch rounds switching places, while still running back-to-back in late June, while the Americas and Argentina rounds have also rotated in April.
Last week MotoGP also announced the 2020 provisional test programme, starting with a shakedown test at Sepang (2-4 February) followed by the Malaysian track’s official pre-season test three days later (7-9 February). Qatar also retains a pre-season test slot (22-24 February) two weeks before the 2020 curtain-raiser.
