After a series of postponements and cancellations, MotoGP has now confirmed a definite 13-round 2020 MotoGP calendar starting on July 19 at Jerez as the first of five rounds in quick succession.
The season will be run over eight venues starting with a double-header on back-to-back weekends at Jerez, followed by a standalone race at Brno in the Czech Republic and then two more at the Red Bull Ring in Austria.
It will then complete eight more races over a ten-week straight with two races at Misano, one at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya, one at Le Mans and two at Aragon. The season will conclude provisionally with two races at Valencia, unless an agreement can be reached to venture overseas to the USA, Argentina, Thailand and/or Malaysia.
Any races this year are expected to be held behind closed doors, meaning without any fans and the bare minimum paddock members required to put on the event.
