Marc Marquez vs AMA Motocross champion Jett Lawrence
In the lead-up to next weekend's Grand Prix of the Americas in Austin, Texas, MotoGP's Marc Marquez will take on AMA Motocross champion Jett Lawrence in a time trial battle.
Eight-time world champion Marquez, an avid off-road fan, has been following the progress of rising Australian star and fellow Honda rider Lawrence closely.
Lawrence ran a Marquez tribute helmet in Supercross earlier this season, while Marquez sent the 18-year-old a set of his MotoGP leathers.
But the pair will now meet on track for a time-trial duel to find out who is fastest on NSF100s around the COTA karting circuit, next Wednesday afternoon (September 29).

On the Thursday morning, Pramac Ducati's Jorge Martin and Moto2 home hero Cameron Beaubier will then take part in some MiniMoto action with YouTubers JUCA and Juan Bertheau.
Friday practice for the grand prix weekend starts on the Friday morning, when Marquez will begin his quest for a seventh COTA MotoGP victory with rookie Martin targeting his second premier-class win.
Five-time AMA Superbike champion Beaubier has taken a best finish of eighth place so far during his rookie Moto2 season.
