Crash.net MotoGP podcast with Keith Huewen: Special guest Michael Laverty
This week's episode of the Crash.net MotoGP podcast features a special guest with former racer, current BT Sport MotoGP pundit and future Moto3 team owner Michael Laverty joining the show.
Laverty is reunited with former commentary colleague Keith Huewen, plus podcast host Harry Benjamin and Crash.net's MotoGP editor Peter McLaren, as he gives the lowdown on the exciting news that he is launching a new Moto3 Grand Prix team, to help develop young British riders, in 2022.
The Northern Irishman - a British Supersport champion, British Superbike race winner and Endurance racer who spent two seasons in MotoGP as a rider - is also quizzed on the big talking points of this year's world championships, including safety in Moto3, Valentino Rossi's retirement, Marc Marquez and runaway title leader Fabio Quartararo.
Along the way Laverty also reveals that John McPhee, although not part of Laverty's new VisionTrack Honda project with rookies Scott Ogden and Josh Whatley, will be staying in Moto3 next season and gives his thoughts on which kind of green energy could power the grand prix machines of the future.
