LCR Honda unveil 2022 MotoGP colours for Alex Marquez
LCR Honda have officially unveiled their 2022 MotoGP bike for Alex Marquez ahead of the final pre-season test at Mandalika.
The 2022 season will be Marquez’ third in the premier class after joining MotoGP with Repsol Honda in 2020.
Following one season with the full factory team, Marquez then moved to LCR Honda on a two-year deal alongside Takaaki Nakagami.
The 2022 livery for Marquez remains largely the same as his side of the LCR garage continues to be backed by Castrol.
Whereas Nakagami’s 2022 colours, which will also be presented today are expected to differ significantly as has been the case since the Japanese rider joined the team five years ago. Nakagami will once again be backed by main sponsor Idemitsu.
Sporting the unique green, white, red and blue, Marquez will be back on track alongside team-mate Nakagami this weekend as MotoGP visits the new Mandalika circuit for the first time.
The three-day test will be the final pre-season action ahead of next month’s season opener in Qatar.
LCR Honda are one of the last teams to unveil their 2022 bikes after Yamaha, Suzuki, KTM Ducati and the Repsol Honda team have already done so. Only Aprilia remains left to present it’s new livery.
Repsol Honda, who presented its new colours on Wednesday, uncovered a slightly revised livery ahead of their 27th premier class campaign.
With regards to the Sepang MotoGP test, Nakagami was quickest of the two LCR riders (13th) as Marquez finished Sunday’s action in 17th place.
While at the Repsol Honda team both Marc Marquez and Pol Espargaro were inside the ten.
