MotoGP champion Marc Marquez remains unbeaten in 2014 after winning the Grand Prix of Argentina.

The Repsol Honda star dropped as low as seventh during the chaotic early stages, while Jorge Lorenzo put his first lap woes behind him by leading the way.

Marquez and Lorenzo pulled clear of the field with Marquez - dominant throughout the weekend - making his victory pass at the end of the back straight with nine laps.

Dani Pedrosa then mounted a charge to catch Lorenzo, diving inside Lorenzo at the penultimate turn to complete a Repsol Honda one-two.

Valentino Rossi fought for the lead early on, but was forced wide by Stefan Bradl and dropped to seventh before working his way back up to fourth place.

MotoGP was returning to Argentina for the first time since 1999 and making its race debut at the Termas de Rio Hondo circuit.

Crutchlow, now at Ducati, was absent due to hand injuries sustained in Austin. The Englishman was replaced by factory test rider Michele Pirro.
