MotoGP Valencia - Race Results

World champion Marc Marquez claimed a record 13th win of the season in the Valencia season finale.

Light rain fell early in the race, shuffling the order, then returned with 13 laps to go - prompting Jorge Lorenzo and Andrea Iannone to make an ill-fated pit stop to change bikes.

Suzuki was entering its first MotoGP event since 2011, courtesy of a wild-card entry for development rider Randy de Puniet, but retired with a technical issue at mid-distance.

Ducati development rider Michele Pirro was making his latest wild-card appearance while Hiroshi Aoyama gave the new Honda RC213V-RS Open class bike its race debut.

Preparations for the 2015 MotoGP season start with a post-race test at Valencia on Monday.
