Valentino Rossi leads team-mate Jorge Lorenzo by seven points heading into this weekend's championship decider.

However Rossi will start last on the grid after the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) refused a request to suspend the Sepang penalty while his appeal is in progress.

Karel Abraham and Alex de Angelis continue to be sidelined by injuries. Anthony West is again riding substituting for Abraham with Broc Parkes making a MotoGP return in place of Alex de Angelis. Ducati test rider Michele Pirro is competing as a wild-card.
