Valencia MotoGP test times - Wednesday (1pm)

The second and final day of the official Valencia MotoGP test began on Wednesday morning.

The outing marks the first appearance for triple MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo at Ducati, Maverick Vinales at Yamaha, Andrea Iannone at Suzuki, Bradley Smith and Pol Espargaro at KTM, Aleix Espargaro at Aprilia, plus Alvaro Bautista and Karel Abraham at Aspar.

Vinales was fastest on day one, lapping 0.020s quicker than team-mate Valentino Rossi.

The four rookies are also on track: Johann Zarco and Jonas Folger at Tech 3 Yamaha, Alex Rins at Suzuki and Sam Lowes at Aprilia. Danilo Petrucci has returned to Italy for family reasons and is being replaced at Pramac by Ducati test rider Michele Pirro.

Testing takes place from 10am to 5pm, but the session was red-flagged from 11am to 12pm due to heavy accidents for new Suzuki riders Alex Rins and Andrea Iannone at Turn 12. Rookie Rins was conscious but taken to the medical centre, then hospital, for precautionary checks. Iannone returned to the pits on the back of a scooter.

Marc Marquez has set the fastest lap of the test so far while appearing to use the new engine in the 2016 Repsol Honda...
