Austin MotoGP - Free Practice (3) Results

Marquez returns to the top in Free Practice 3 at the Austin MotoGP, but Iannone's Friday time remains unbeaten overall.

The rain stayed away until the final 5-minutes of the session, by which time Zarco had broken into the top 10 at the expense of Aprilia's Espargaro, who will now lead the Qualifying 1 participants.

Dovizioso joined team-mate Lorenzo in trying the Ducati wing fairing.

Pedrosa is returning from a wrist fracture sustained last time in Argentina.

Riders have reported major problems with the bumpy surface, especially on the back straight and turn 18, despite efforts to grind down the bumps from turns 1-9 and 16-19.

The rain is forecast to continue for this afternoon's qualifying.
