Marquez romps to pole position for the Austrian MotoGP, his seventh of the season and a record 59th in the premier-class, with Quartararo and Dovizioso completing Sunday's front row.
It's Dovizioso's best qualifying since round two in Argentina. By contrast, team-mate Petrucci fell in the closing stages.
Ducati has won all three previous races at the Red Bull Ring since the circuit returned to the MotoGP calendar in 2016, and it is the only track on the current calendar where Marquez has not yet won.
