Quartararo returns to the top during Free Practice 3 for the San Marino MotoGP, at Misano.
The top ten riders after FP3 (combined times) receive direct access to the second and final part of qualifying.
All riders except Aprilia team-mates Espargaro and Iannone set their best lap times of the weekend so far this morning.
Zarco has a three-place grid penalty for his collision with Oliveira at Silverstone. Oliveira has a shoulder tendon injury from the incident.
