2019 Malaysian MotoGP, Sepang - Full Qualifying Results
Quartararo gives the Sepang team a home pole position for the Malaysian MotoGP with a new official lap record during a dramatic qualifying.
World champion Marquez spent much of the session following Quartararo, including leaving the pits just behind the Petronas Yamaha rider for the final run... But disaster struck when Marquez suffered a nasty off-throttle highside on entry to Turn 2.
The Honda rider landed face-first into the track and, while able to walk away, was visibly sore.

The Honda rider landed face-first into the track and, while able to walk away, was visibly sore.
"Marc clearly tried to get into Fabio's head and he hit his head," said Sepang team manager Wilco Zeelenberg. "I hope Marc's not injured, but he tried to get into Fabio's head because he knows Fabio is fast."
Fellow Yamaha riders Vinales and Morbidelli will join the French rookie on tomorrow's front row, while Marquez suffered his worst qualifying since 2015.
Massive highside for Marquez as he tries to stick with Quartararo... walks away but looks hurt.
