Nakagami starts fastest during Free Practice 1 for the Czech Republic MotoGP at Brno, the Japanese jumping to the top after a late time attack.
Mir also fitted new rubber, while KTM's Espargaro - fastest for almost the entire session - slipped to third after remaining on used tyres.
Binder briefly formed an 'orange' one-two behind team-mate Espargaro, but later lost the lap time, presumably for cutting a kerb.
Vinales suffered an early fall on entry to the final chicane, Miller saving a big front end slide of his own soon after.

Reigning MotoGP champion Marquez, who broke his right arm in the season-opening Jerez race on July 19, has withdrawn after undergoing a second round of surgery and is being replaced by HRC test rider Stefan Bradl.
