Francesco Bagnaia, on course for a debut podium in Andalucia until a late engine problem, suffered a fracture to his right tibia in Friday practice and will miss the remainder of this weekend and the following Austrian round.
Reigning MotoGP champion Marc Marquez, who broke his right arm in the season-opening Jerez race on July 19, has withdrawn after undergoing a second round of surgery and is being replaced by HRC test rider Stefan Bradl.
