Quartararo fastest from Petronas team-mate and last Sunday's race winner Morbidelli, during opening practice for the Emilia Romagna MotoGP, the second of the back-to-back Misano rounds.
Quartararo used a new soft rear for his time attack, while Morbidelli raised eyebrows on the hard rear.
