Miller and Ducati move to the top during Free Practice 2 for the Valencia MotoGP, pushing morning pacesetter Nakagami to second.
Mir - who starts the penultimate round with a 37-point lead over Rins and Quartararo, 41-point lead over Vinales and 45-point advantage over Morbidelli and Dovizioso - lost the front of his Suzuki and fell while using the hard front tyre with 11mins to go, but was soon back on track.
Mir will be crowned world champion on Sunday if he has a title lead of at least 26-points.
