Portimao MotoGP, Portugal - Free Practice (4) Results
Quartararo stays fastest during final practice for the Portimao MotoGP round.
Pol Espargaro had a big highside from his Repsol Honda through the ultra-fast final corner but was eventually able to walk away with some assistance from the marshals. Espargaro joins fellow RCV riders Nakagami and Alex Marquez in suffering a big accident this weekend.
Qualifying 1 - for those outside the top ten after third free practice, including Marc Marquez, Mir and Rossi - will now get underway.
Eight-time world champion Marquez is returning to MotoGP action for the first time since July 25, having been sidelined for the past nine months due to complications with his broken right arm, which eventually required three operations.
Rookie star Jorge Martin, on pole position and the podium in Qatar, has been ruled out of the remainder of the weekend after suffering a head contusion, plus right hand and ankle contusions during a big accident in the closing stages of FP3.
Nakagami also did not take part in FP4 as he continues to struggle with his right collarbone after yesterday's fast accident and is set to skip qualifying.
