2021 German MotoGP, Sachsenring - Full Warm-up Results
World championship leader Quartararo fastest during morning warm-up for the 2021 German MotoGP at Sachsenring. ahead of the Hondas of Espargaro and Nakagami.
Mir, Morbidelli and Vinales also have a promising session, after a poor qualifying which saw all three left outside the top 16. However this afternoon's race will be all about tyre endurance rather than outright speed.
Aleix Espargaro, who claimed Aprilia's first front-row start in the MotoGP era in qualifying, fell heavily at Turn 5 early in the session, but returned at the halfway stage of the 20-minutes.
Not the start to race day @AleixEspargaro wanted!

Sachsenring, the shortest and slowest circuit for top speed in the world championship, was not part of last year's Covid calendar, which also meant Marc Marquez's record of winning every race at the circuit since he joined the MotoGP class in 2013 remained intact. Add in three victories in the 125cc/Moto2 classes and the Spaniard is unbeaten at the track since 2009!
Rins is returning to action for Suzuki after missing Barcelona due to a fractured wrist in a bicycle accident.
Bastianini has a three place grid penalty for slow riding in Qualifying 1, while Vinales and Rins made their displeasure clear after being held up by a slow moving Marini at the end of warm-up.
