Scott Pruett will once again drive a fourth Chip Ganassi Racing with Felix Sabates Dodge at the Infineon Raceway this weekend although, unlike the previous two years, he will be driving with Texaco Havoline colours.

Pruett has 35 career Nextel Cup Series starts dating back to 2000, four of which have come at the 1.99-mile Infineon Raceway. He recorded his best finish of third at the track one year ago in the #39 Dodge, crossing the finish line directly behind CGRFS teammate McMurray.

Pruett is currently tied for first place in the Rolex Series standings with co-pilot Luis Diaz driving for the #01 CompUSA team based out of Chip Ganassi Racing's Indianapolis stable. Together, the duo have already amassed two victories and three poles this season, along with four podiums and five top-five finishes in just six starts.

"The relationship I've had with Chip, Felix and the whole organization over the past few years has been outstanding and I love the balance of running the Rolex Series with the NEXTEL Cup races," said Pruett, who has built a multidisciplinary motorsports career competing in Grand American, NASCAR, CART, IROC, IMSA and Trans Am.

"We've had a lot of success this season in the Daytona Prototypes already in defence of our championship, but a personal goal of mine has always been to get a NASCAR win under my belt. We've spent some time testing the Texaco/Havoline "Shine On" Dodge, and I really feel we have a great group of guys in place that can get us to victory lane. I know we can run up front. And if you can run up front at Infineon, you can win. After winning the two Grand American races in California earlier this year at Fontana and Laguna Seca, it would be great to get a third for the team next Sunday."

"We are pleased to have Scott driving a second Texaco/Havoline "Shine On" Dodge here in the backyard of the Chevron Corporation," said Danny Roden, vice president of North America marketing for Chevron. "As he illustrated in his Sonoma finish last year, he's an experienced road course racer and were proud to have him piloting the star around Infineon Raceway.

"We launched the 'Shine On' campaign this season to highlight one America's corporate icons, the Texaco star and to pay tribute to Texaco's rich tradition for symbolising quality and performance. Running the second car at Infineon helps us communicate the brand's enduring performance while honouring a heritage that our customers recognise."
