Shell to replace GM Goodwrench at RCR.
Richard Childress has confirmed that GM Goodwrench, a company synonymous with his team and specifically the late Dale Earnhardt, will end its role as the primary sponsor for RCR's #29 team at the end of the year.
GM Goodwrench will be replaced by Shell and Pennzoil as Kevin Harvick's primary sponsors on the #29 Chevrolet next season with GM Goodwrench and Reese's staying on as secondary backers, ending one of NASCAR's longest standing primary sponsor relationships.

"We're proud to have Shell come on-board as the primary sponsor of RCR's #29 team with Kevin Harvick," said Richard Childress as he announced the deal at the Talladega Superspeedway on Saturday. "Shell has a long history in Motorsports throughout the world and we look forward to adding to that winning tradition. We're fortunate to once again have a sponsor for the #29 team that is committed to supporting its racing programme in a lot of exciting ways.
"We're also proud to be continuing our relationship with GM Goodwrench and the winning tradition we've had together for more than two decades."
GM Goodwrench has been the primary sponsor of the #3/#29 RCR team since 1986.
