Martin airlifted to hospital after TT accident
The Senior TT is red flagged after Martin is involved in an incident, but the reputed road racer is conscious.
Guy Martin has been airlifted to hospital with chest injuries after crashing heavily during the Isle of Man Senior TT race.
The race had to be red flagged for the first-time two laps in when Martin was involved in an incident at the Ballagarey area of the course.
An official announcement said Martin had been conscious throughout the incident and was being taken to hospital by helicopter with chest injuries.
His motorcycle was reported to be on fire, and the race had to be red-flagged so a fire engine could attend.
