Tuxworth hails dominant TT festival for Honda
Honda Racing manager Neil Tuxworth has reflected on a dominant Isle of Man TT for the Japanese manufacturer.
All seven solo races plus both Sidecar races at the legendary road race were won by Honda machines, with Michael Dunlop and John McGuinness sharing the wins in the Superbike and Senior races on the Honda TT Legends machines.
In each of the premier class races, Honda filled the top three places with Cameron Donald and McGuinness joining Dunlop on the rostrum in the Superbike race and Dunlop and Bruce Anstey completing the top three with McGuinness in the Senior.
Dunlop also won both Supersport races and the Superstock race while Tim Reeves and Dan Sayle and Tom and Ben Birchall shared the Sidecar wins.
Tuxworth said: "The Isle of Man TT is and always will be a very special event for Honda.
"It's where we began racing back in 1959 and it is always high on our racing agenda.
"We are extremely pleased to have achieved such strong results in 2013 with our supported teams and to have taken both Superbike races with the Honda TT Legends team," he added.
"Every race, in which a Honda-powered machine started, was won by a Honda-powered machine and we have very much proved that both the CBR600RR and CBR1000RR Fireblade are still the bikes to beat on the roads."
Honda's overall tally of TT wins now stands at 170.
