Isle of Man TT regular Gary Carswell has died after an accident during a race meeting at Jurby
Experienced Isle of Man TT rider Gary Carswell has died after an accident at a race meeting at Jurby on the island.
The 46-year-old was taken to Noble's Hospital with serious injuries bad sadly passed away despite the best efforts of medical staff.
Mr Carswell finished third in the 2004 Senior TT behind Bruce Anstey and race winner Adrian Archibald in one of his best ever performances at the event. He also won the Senior Manx Grand Prix in 1997.
Gary leaves behind a wife, Lisa and daughter Amy.
An investigation into the accident has been launched.
