Dunlop secures MSS Kawasaki support for Superstocks
William Dunlop is set to receive support from MSS Performance and Colchester Kawasaki on a specially-prepared Kawasaki ZX-10R Superstock 1000 for the 2016 international road races.
Dunlop, who parted company with Tyco BMW in early October after two years with TAS Racing, has already confirmed his partnership with Northern Irish team CD-IC Racing on Yamahas in the Superbike and Supersport classes and will switch to Kawasaki machinery in the Superstock discipline.
MSS Performance, who won the 2014 National Superstock title with Danny Buchan, will support Dunlop at the Isle of Man TT, North West 200 and Ulster GP alongside the Irish National road races. Dunlop will also contest selected rounds in the National Superstock series in the MCE British Superbike championship in order to keep sharp and ensure he is happy with the bike.
Dunlop says he's delighted with the new partnership and is confident of a productive 2016 campaign.
"If I'm really honest I wasn't too sure about Superstock but when I heard we had the option of running with Nick and understood the whole package I became really positive," Dunlop said. "I'm excited to be doing it properly with testing and some BSB rounds which will mean I'll be sharp for the TT.
"Chris Dowd of CD Racing sorted the deal and as we both know Nick and his guys have fantastic knowledge and data on the ZX-10R in this spec. The team seem a really relaxed group to deal with and that's just how I like to go racing."
