Hickman leads qualifying as Isle of Man TT action resumes
Peter Hickman has topped the one-lap Superstock and Senior TT qualifying to see Isle of Man TT action restart on a packed schedule following two consecutive days of cancellations.
The Smiths Racing BMW rider, winner of the RST Superbike TT, ventured out for his lap on a modified BMW S1000R having charged to victory on Monday with a Superstock-specification engine on a Superbike front and rear end. The three-time TT winner produced an eye-catching 131.29mph from a standing start to lead the times.

Dean Harrison produced the second-fastest time overall using his Silicone Engineering Kawasaki Superstock bike with a 130.33mph lap.
Michael Dunlop grabbed the third-best lap on the combined times with a 129.89mph using his MC Racing BMW Superstock bike, fractionally faster than Conor Cummins on the Milenco by Padgetts Honda who set a 129.23mph on his Superbike.
John McGuinness endured a suspected technical issue with his Norton Superbike on his sole lap, finishing the Mountain course with 105.66mph.
The one-lap qualifying session marks the first Isle of Man TT action since Monday due to rain and poor conditions cancelling all track running on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Five races are scheduled for Thursday starting with the second Monster Energy Supersport TT which will start at 12:55.
