Kessler incident 'distanced' from Stoke Speedway.

Stoke promoter Dave Tattum has stressed that the heat 15 incident of the Hull meeting last Saturday where Robbie Kessler was excluded should be distanced from the running of Stoke Speedway.

He stressed: "It was not the best of ways to end a meeting - but let us be quite clear that the two central figures in all this were Robbie Kessler and referee Craig Ackroyd and that the episode had nothing to do with the running of Stoke Speedway".

"Hull are a very good side and they can possibly count themselves unlucky not to have won here tonight (Saturday). I have a lot of time for the promotion and a couple of the Hull riders are people I count as friends as much as anything."

"Robbie Kessler is a good rider but what he did was blatant gamesmanship and the referee took what he thought was appropriate action. So to all those Hull supporters who came up and had a go at me afterwards - your grouse is with Kessler and not Stoke Speedway".
