John Postlethwaite, Chief Executive, Benfield Sports International announced: "The Millennium Stadium has become the spiritual home of world speedway in Britain since the FIM British Speedway Grand Prix moved there two years ago and we are delighted to be back for the third time.

"The crowd attending the FIM British Speedway Grand Prix in recent years has gone from 7,000 in 2000 to over 40,000 in 2002 and we fully expect the event to be a sell out within the next few years as, year on year, there has been a huge demand for people to return."

Postlethwaite concluded: "Cardiff has become the event that sets the standard for the rest of the Series and we fully intend to move the bar up again next year."
