Vikings survive.

Birmingham businessman Nigel Wordsworth is the new owner of the Hull Vikings, ensuring that the Humberside club survives into the 2003 campaign.

The 49-year old takes over from Malcolm Wright in a deal that ends speculation over the future of the Vikings, and has appointed John Bailey as director of speedway and team manager.

"I have always been a speedway fan and now this my opportunity to get more involved, although it must be run as a business," Wordsworth said.
