Norris in to WTC five.
David Norris has been named as the fifth member of the Team Great Britain side for the forthcoming Speedway World Cup in Denmark. Norris joins Eastbourne colleague Dean Barker, Ipswich's Scott Nicholls, Coventry's Lee Richardson and Gary Havelock of Peterborough in Neil Middleditch's five-man line-up.
Middleditch said: "A month ago I wasn't even sure of including David in the squad, but he has won his place on merit."

With recent injuries to Mark Loram and David Howe playing havoc with Middleditch's plans and cutting down on his options somewhat it's opened the door for Norris, mostly regarded as a "one-track rider" to show what he can do on a bigger stage.
Team GB get their campaign under way in Outrup on August 4 when taking on Australia, the USA and Slovenia. Winning the round will be good enough to take them straight to the final. If that's not possible then the target is second place or a highest scoring third place for one last chance via the race-off two days before the final to decide the last two teams in the final.
